WORKSHOPS COMING UP
Workshops are designed to give students short term exposure in a specific skill or discipline. Courses range from a one time meeting to multiple weeks of education in areas such as Shakespeare, musical theatre, dance, stage combat, puppetry, technical design and more. Check out what's coming soon:

Who are the workshops for?
Students 3rd–12th grade. All experience levels are welcome. Workshops are designed for both beginners and intermediate participants.
What's the difference between Acting and Movement/Dance?
Acting focuses on character work, scene study, and storytelling. Movement/Dance focuses on sequencing, choreography, physical expression, and body awareness.
Can my child do both workshops?
Yes. You can register for Acting, Movement/Dance, or both. They run back-to-back this fall:
-
Acting | Sept 19, Sept 26, Oct 3, Oct 10 · Saturdays, 9:30–11:30 AM
-
Movement and Dance | Oct 24, Oct 31, Nov 7, Nov 14 · Saturdays, 9:30–11:30 AM
Where do workshops meet?
Boston Avenue United Methodist Church
1301 S. Boston Ave, Tulsa, OK 74119
What should my child bring or wear?
For both workshops students should wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and a water bottle
Is there a cost?
All Tulsa Theatre Works programs are free of charge because of generous donors.
What if my child misses a class?
In the event that your child is ill, we ask that you email us at info@tulsatheatreworks.org.
Is space limited?
Yes. Enrollment is capped for each workshop, so we recommend registering early to hold your child's spot.
If my child is on the waiting like, how will I know if they are selected to participate in the class?
Ideally we would like all participants to have a week’s notice that they have been removed from the waitlist and given a spot. However, we will contact parents up until the day workshops begin to offer any open spots if they become available.
Does my child need to attend all 4 weeks?
Yes. We ask participants to commit to attending all 4 sessions of their workshop. Because enrollment is capped at 35 students per workshop, priority for open and waitlisted spots goes to students who can attend the full 4 weeks.
